Except my house is a mess and my mind is even worse.

I grew up in a house where domesticity was cherished. Everything needed to be clean and tidy at all times, to the point where I didn’t really cook for myself until I moved out, as it wasn’t worth the wrath of leaving a smudge on the cooker top or forgetting to wash a dish.
