Probably the best (and silliest) one is Repeat, then there's Sculpture of Man, a very funny cover of Charles Windsor by McCarthy, and We Her Majesty's Prisoners. Then there's a whole bunch of anti-US tracks and anti-conservative stuff too. They're often overlooked for their politics because the approach is a bit daft but the message remains!
Loved this! This sent me on a rabbit hole adventure into old Manics tracks. They have SO much anti-monarchy stuff that's always appealed.
Ohhhh please link me so I can listen!

Excellent piece.
Some of my favourite overtly political songs from the 21st century off the top of my head:
Holiday Destination - Nadine Shah (about Syrian refugees)
Drone Bomb Me - Anohni (about the Obama administration's complicity in war crimes)
My Queen is Doreen Lawrence - Sons of Kemet (about the London Riots and the murder of Stephen Lawrence)
How could I forget Nadine! She's from up here. I haven't heard the others so I will give them a listen.
You absolutely had to write this newsletter this week. Cracking read, as always.
Sinéad was a fucking REAL one. I've so much love and respect for her.
Oh aye, we can never forget Sinéad and what she sacrificed in her life.
